INNER BALANCE QIGONG CLASS

WEDNESDAYS: 11-12 PM
Qigong (Pronounced Chee Kung) is a slow, gentle, holistic healing practice,rooted in the ancient wisdom of the Chinese Medical Arts. Qigong integrates meditation, visualization, mental focus, physical postures with conscious breath awareness. Qi is the life force, or bio-energy that supports and sustains the body and underlies everything in the Universe. Gong translates as accomplishment, or skill that is developed through consistent practice. Through the discipline of Qigong, one cultivates this vital life force, circulating the Qi to break up stagnancies of energy, cleanse and bring balance to all the organs and systems of the body. Qigong increases vitality, reduces stress, calms the mind, balances the emotions, bolsters stamina and immunity, and creates a deeper attunement with our soul and spirit.
No prior experience necessary. Suitable and adaptable for all bodies. Please wear comfortable clothing in which you can move freely.

This chair yoga class welcomes healthy movement, healing, strength, function, and joint mobility no matter your age, fitness level, or yoga experience. Seeking creative movement with a chair in your yoga practice adds a new element for practicing balance and opening the body while complimenting specific mobility and strength postures. While cultivating awareness through breath, gentle flowing movements add stabilizing work to improve balance and mobility for better aging filled with joy and fun.
Using a chair in our practice is not always as easy as it sounds. Used as a functional prop to better enhance specific postures and movements encourages balance and support not accessible without the chair. Lets have a little fun and take a journey to explore the benefits of yoga with our friendly functional chair.

The alignment based yoga, restorative yoga, qigong or breath practice will be carefully crafted to support a greater sense of inner balance at all levels of your being.
