QIGONG FOR VIBRANT HEALTH: Qigong (Pronounced Chee Kung) is a slow, gentle practice rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that integrates mental focus, physical postures with breath awareness. Qi is the life force energy that flows through all living things in the Universe. Gong translates as accomplishment, or skill that is developed through consistent practice. Through the discipline of Qigong, one cultivates this vital energy, circulating it to break up stagnancies, cleanse and bring balance to all the organs and systems of the body. Qigong increases vitality, reduces stress, calms the mind, enhances balance and stamina, and bolsters immunity. No prior experience necessary. Please wear comfortable clothing in which you can move freely.

The personalized, Private Yoga Instruction Katrin offers at Synergy Center in Manlius centers on an initial assessment of your mobility and consideration for any conditions you may be experiencing at this time. The yoga practice will be carefully crafted to support a greater sense of inner balance at all levels of your being.

INNER BALANCE YOGA: is based in the Iyengar tradition. Breath awareness and expansion (pranayama) activate the vital Life Force Energy to support a series of physical poses (asana) to improve spinal alignment, flexibility, balance, strength, circulation, metabolism, and a greater sense of well-being. A deep relaxation (savasana) assimilates the experience into the gross and subtle bodies. Props support proper spinal alignment in the practice. When fully present in the body and with the breath, we enhance awareness, and experience communion with our immediate sensate reality, laying a path for the ultimate arrival in the Eternal Now. Appropriate for all levels.
RESTORATIVE YOGA & MEDITATION: Experience a gentle series of poses that bring body and mind into a state of deep calm and ease. Prop support allows you to release, restore, renew, and rediscover your natural state of equilibrium, and experience a greater sense of wholeness through this deeply healing practice. Appropriate for all levels. This class is also ideal for those recovering from illness or injury, or with chronic conditions.
